Welcome to the Seconde pupils of 2009-2010 !

  Ci-dessous dans cet article, tout au long de l'année, vous trouverez divers documents en relation avec le cours d'anglais.

Vous pouvez aussi faire quelques révisions. Vous trouverez des liens vers des sites de ressources et d'exercices interactifs variés dans l'article intitulé "Interesting links to Website addresses for exercises".

A piece of advice (= un conseil) : mieux vaut en faire peu à la fois et régulièrement, que longtemps à "chaque" fois et peu souvent !

3) "What's up in the news?"
A chaque début de cours, je vous demanderai de faire une petite présentation (= 30 sec.- 2 minutes) d'un fait survenu dans les jours précédents. Il pourra s'agir d'un fait divers quelconque, d'un événement de portée internationale, d'un événement sportif, d'une déclaration d'un(e) homme/femme politique ou d'une célébrité, d'un fait lié à la météo (catastrophe naturelle...), d'une découverte (scientifique...), ETC...

Présentation orale :
- present the topic (= le sujet):
Today, I am going to talk to / tell you about...
Today, I want to tell you about...
Yesterday, I heard that...
- describe the event (= l'événement):
→ use the simple past (= preterit)
- conclude:
→ express your personal opinion


4) Homework for Tuesday:
 Pour ceux qui n'ont pas eu la photocopie (= les 2nde 3 et 2nde 5), voici les structures des verbes exprimant les "likes & dislikes". Les 2nde 5, vous les recopierez dans votre cahier à l'emplacement prévu et ferez l'exercice demandé.

Tous ces verbes sont suivis de + BV-ING / + N

5) Vocabulary Test:
2nde 3, 2nde 4 & 2nde 5 have a vocabulary test on Tuesday, December 15th. It will be on all the words (= tous les mots) in your notebook, and on the irregular verbs.

Don't wait till the last minute to revise (= N'attendez pas la dernière minute pour réviser) !!



6) TESTS next week:


- 2nde 3: Monday, Sept. 28th;
- 2nde 4: Monday, Sept. 28th;
- 2nde 5: Tuesday, Sept. 29th.
Again: don't wait till the last minute to revise (= n'attendez pas la dernière minute pour réviser) !!


Bring your notebooks in class, even during (= même pendant) the test.




7) Qualities and shortcomings:

8) Absent teacher:
I was absent today, unfortunately, but you still have (= mais vous avez toujours) your vocabulary tests on Monday (2nde 3 and 2nde 4) and Tuesday (2nde 5).

9) Holiday Homework:
- Revisions, revisions, revisions !!
The tenses (present continuous, simple present, simple past and irregular verbs), vocabulary of qualities and shortcomings, presentation of oneself, likes and dislikes, golden rules...
- Read the news
- Prepare the story you must write with your group: "A couple's eventful day":
Plan the order of events (= Mettez en ordre les événements), check (= vérifiez) the vocabulary, and start writing: you will make adjustments with your group next week.

10) Material:
2ndes 3, 4 & 5 pupils will bring their textbooks (= manuel), notebooks AND workbooks (= TD) to class next time, that is to say (= c'est à dire) Monday 16th Nov. and Tuesday 17th Nov.
